Pentz - Highway 99E Vernal Pool
Map SatelliteA good example of the relatively uncommon vernal pool flora is found at this site. Additionally, it is the type locality for the rare grass, Tuctoria greenei. This species is known from only one other locality north of Stanislaus County and is in danger of becoming extinct throughout its very limited distribution.
Integrity: The area is fenced and used for grazing; portions are heavily grazed.
