Rancho Llano Seco Valley Oak Stands

Map     Satellite

Though much of this area is cultivated, there are some excellent stands of the valley oak, Quercus lobata, reminiscent of the once more extensive stands in the valley. These groves are located near the sloughs and watercourses that dissect the flood plain.

Integrity: Most of the area is farmed and some of the oaks have been cut, but those stands that remain are nearly undisturbed.
