Byron Hot Springs
Map SatelliteIn this very flat area there are a number of scattered hot mineral springs. There are alkali mud flats and a salt marsh vegetation with Salicornia sp. dominant.
It is the type locality for the rare snail, Helminthoglypta contracostae.
Integrity: A once popular spa, there are various buildings on the site as well as a recently created lake. The springs and baths are suffering from desuetude.
