>Map     >Satellite

Along this north-south trending ridge there are excellent stands of mature Douglas fir, Pseudotsuga menziesii mixed with western hemlock, Tsuga heterophylla, at low to mid-altitudes. This forest, which also includes white fir, Abies concolor, and Brewer's spruce, Picea breweriana, occurs on both the east and west-facing slopes of the ridge. The spruce occurs here at an unusually low altitude.
