>Map >Satellite The McKinley Grove of sequoias, Sequoiadendron giganteum, is a small, disjunct grove, one of the eight groves lying north of the Kings River. The nearest grove to the southeast is approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles) distant. It is a virgin grove with approximately 170 trees. A Forest Service road passes near the area.
