>Map >Satellite Here, where Panoche Creek debouches into the San Joaquin Valley, the creek has formed a typical example of an alluvial fan. Arroyo cutting and various sedimentary structures, fanhead trenches, and longitudinal bars are well illustrated. Armored mudballs are present. A quarry in the area has exposed some of the structures. Vegetation is primarily grassland, with Atriplex sp. A rare plant, Amsinckia vernicosa, has been reported in or near the area. Integrity: A road, buildings, and a quarry lie within the area. The grassland is grazed. Use: Private January 1980
