>Map >Satellite Located several hundred meters off Trinidad Head, this rock is utilized by migrating Steller sea lions, Eumetopias jubata, and resident California sea lions, Zalophus californianus, and harbor seals, Phoca vitulina, as a hauling ground. It also supports a breeding colony of the Western gull, Larus occidentalis. The rock is rather steep-sided, composed of material of the Franciscan formation. The vegetation is sparse and primarily grasses. Integrity: Undisturbed. Use: Educational, research, observational. Ref: Osborne, T. O. 1972.
