>Map >Satellite This is a low-elevation forest with a mature stand of Douglas fir, Pseudotsuga menziesii, and tan-oak, Lithocarpus densiflora, which may be easily reached from State Highway 299. Since most of these readily accessible, low-elevation forests have been logged, this area gains importance for its educational use. The rare Antennaria suffrutescens is found in the vicinity. Integrity: The highway borders the northern boundary and there is a campground nearby Use: Research, educational, observational. December 1975
