>Map >Satellite One of the finest stands in the County of the creosote bush, Larrea tridentata, is located here. Individual plants in this dense, mature stand have attained near maximum size. Other plants include burro weed, Ambrosia dumosa, and incienso, Encelia farinosa. A typical Lower Sonoran fauna is found here. Located on the Imperial East Mesa, the soil is generally sandy. Integrity: The Bureau of Land Management has closed the area to off-road vehicles. The area is in excellent condition. Use: Research, educational. For information contact Bureau of Land Management.
