Map Satellite In this area, portions of which are farmed, is one of the last remaining mesquite habitats in the lower San Joaquin Valley. The mesquite, Prosopis glandulosa var. torreyana, is the dominant, with scattered cottonwoods, Populus fremontii, and black willows, Salix gooddingii. It is a habitat for the rare San Joaquin kit fox, Vulpes macrotis mutica, and the endangered blunt-nosed leopard lizard, Crotaphytus wislizenii silus. Integrity: Farmed, and with reservoirs and channeled creek beds, the habitat has been disturbed. Use: Private March 1976
