Map Satellite In this moderately to steeply sloped canyon, approximately 3 kilometers (2 miles) long, lying some 6 kilometers (4 miles) above the point where Butts Creek enters Lake Berryessa, is an assemblage of serpentine flora with several endemics of the Napa - Lake Counties area present. These include Chorizanthe clevelandii, Delphinium uliqinosum, Astragalus clevelandii and Senecio clevelandii. Two communities are found here, the dry riparian with willow, Salix sp., and cottonwood, Populus fremontii, along the narrow canyon bottom, and an oak - digger pine, Quercus spp. - Pinus sabiniana, woodland along the slopes. Three rare species, Fritillaria eastwoodiae, Erynthronium helenae and Hesperolinon bicarpellatum, are found in the area. Integrity: A road parallels the creek and there are some buildings along the creek bottom; however, most of the area is relatively undisturbed. Use: Research, educational, observational, on public portion. Remainder private. February 1977
