Loch Lomond Vernal Pool

Surrounded by a coniferous forest, with ponderosa pine, Pinus ponderosa, dominant, is this grassland which supports a vernal pool with such typical species as Ranunculus lobbii, Eryngium sp., and Downingia sp. Two rare plants are found here, Navarretia leucocephala ssp. pauciflora and Navarretia leucocephala ssp. plieantha.

Integrity: Adjacent to a development, the area is used during the season as a baseball field; nevertheless, it is reclaimable.
