Map Satellite Amidst the sagebrush scrub dominated by the common sagebrush, Artemisia tridentata, is a small pocket of dark volcanic ash surrounded by the lighter-colored soils of the Ash Creek Valley. This particular soil supports a rather unique assemblage of plants which differ markedly from those of the general flora 90 meters (100 yards) distant. Integrity: A dirt road runs through the center of this pocket and is fenced on one side. Use: Private March 1975
