Map Satellite Along portions of the perimeter of Blue Lake there is a fringing and floating bog. Vegetation includes Potamogeton spp., Polygonum bistortoides, Saxifraga oregana, Nuphar luteum ssp. polysepalum, and Carex spp., among others. White fir, Abies concolor, occurs on the slopes above the lake, to the west and south. The lake is stocked with various trout. Blue Lake lies in Miocene volcanic rock and is bordered on the west by a fault. Integrity: A natural lake, its level has been raised by a dam. Increasing use of the area is impacting the bog.
