Map Satellite One of the smallest of the eight county-owned wildflower and wildlife sanctuaries in the Antelope Valley, this unnamed sanctuary is also the least diversified. (See Alpine Butte Wildlife Sanctuary, etc.) A sparse creosote bush scrub, with Larrea tridentata, dominates virtually the entire area. The substrate is Quarternary alluvium. Integrity: Dirt roads bound two sides of the area which, itself, is nearly pristine. Use: research, educational, present. December 1979
