Map Satellite Little Table Mountain rises some 150 meters (500 feet) from the surrounding low-relief landscape. The mountain is an outcropping of granitic materials capped with the Eocene nonmarine lone Formation sedimentaries, in portions. Traces of an Eocene alluvial fan, with a braided stream and channels with large-scale crossbedding, are present. Grasslands cover virtually all of the area, though a few valley oaks, Quercus lobata, are found here. Animals are typical of the region. Raptors breed within the area. Tiger salamanders, Ambystoma tigrinum, occur here. Integrity: The area is grazed. Use: Private January 1980
