Map Satellite This arroyo at the southern end of the Point Reyes National Seashore supports a good riparian community by the stream course and a mixed woodland on the canyon slopes. Semaphore grass, Pleuropogon refractus, rare in California, is found here at its southernmost limit. The animal populations are of interest and the area is a good bird-observing site. Spotted owls, Strix occidentalis, occur here. Integrity: The area is relatively undisturbed. Use: Research, observational, educational, present. February 1978
