Map Satellite Much of this State Park is second-growth redwood and mixed evergreen forests. The main feature consists of the two groves of virgin redwoods, Sequoia sempervirens, which are located on alluvial soil near the Navarro River. Separated by some 550 meters (1,800 feet), the larger grove occupies 30 hectares (80 acres), the smaller, 8 hectares (20 acres). Integrity: The Park is heavily used but the groves are in good condition. Use: Research, educational, observational, present. December 1977
