Map Satellite Surrounded by a pine forest with Bishop pine, Pinus muricata, predominating and with a scattering of redwood, Sequoia sempervirens, the Pygmy Forest here is on the fifth terrace, on Blacklock soil. Integrity: Most of the area is in the Jackson State Forest. There is some development in the private portion. The forest may be viewed from Road 408, Little Lake Road. Use: Research, educational, observational. May 1976
