Map Satellite Ten Mile Beach supports an extensive series of dunes. Vegetation on the dunes includes Ammophila arenaria and Leymus mollis as the main elements, with other species present such as Abronia latifolia, Ambrosia chamissonis, Cakile maritima and Calystegia soldanella. Most of the beach itself is sandy but at the southern end there are numerous offshore rocks. There is also some marshy area. One rare plant is found here, Erysimum menziesii. Integrity: There is some off-road-vehicle damage but most of the area is in relatively good condition. Use: Research, educational, observational, present. Some private. December 1977
