Map Satellite This area is a good example of the once extensive alkali sinks of the San Joaquin Valley. The dominant species is the iodine bush, Allenrolfea occidentalis; other common perennials include the salt grass, Distichlis spicata, seep weed, Suaeda moquinii, and the saltbush, Atriplex lentiformis. The uncommon Cordylanthus mollis ssp. hispidus and the possibly extinct Cordylanthus palmatus have been collected near this location; the latter was last observed in 1970. Integrity: This is marginal grazing land for cattle and is so used. Use: Private March 1975
