Map Satellite At the northern edge of the South Warner Wilderness, in an inholding in the Modoc National Forest, lies this large and typical mountain meadow which is partially covered by an extensive stand of quaking aspen, Populus tremuloides. There are numerous wildflowers in the meadow, including buttercups, Ranunculus sp., Lupinus sp., Collinsia sp., Mimulus guttatus, Veratrum californicum, as well as various grasses and sedges. On the mountains bordering the meadow are stands of white fir, Abies concolor. Integrity: There is a man-made pond in the meadow and several buildings are nearby. Use: Private September 1975
