Map Satellite These two small ponds, separated by a kilometer or so, are utilized by many migratory and resident birds. Breeding birds include mallard, Anas platyrhynchos, cinnamon teal, Anas cyanoptera, gadwall, Anas strepera, shoveler, Spatula clypeata, and yellow-headed blackbird, Xanthocephalus xanthocephalus. The small expanses of open water are bordered by cattails, Typha sp., and tules, Scirpus sp., primarily, with some grasses and sedges. Sagebrush scrub borders the surrounding area. Integrity: The area is grazed but it has not affected the breeding populations. Use: Private January 1980
