Map Satellite On a steep north-facing mountainside above the Arroyo Seco is a fine stand of oak woodland. Three oaks, coast live, blue and scrub, Quercus agrifolia, Quercus douglasii and Quercus berberidifolia, grow here. There is a thick, undisturbed stand of the former. In the higher elevations there is a typical chamise, Adenostoma fasciculatum, and Arctostaphylos species-dominated chaparral community. Integrity: Good, as the steep slopes and thick vegetation have made grazing difficult. Use: Research. May 1975
