Map Satellite Though virtually all of the area is a golf course, three rare plants have been found here in the past. They are Delphinium hutchinsonae, Erysimum menziesii and Lupinus tidestromii var. tidestromii. There is a small freshwater pond, formerly a natural sump but now artificially enlarged, with cattails, Typha sp. Numerous waterfowl and shorebirds use this pond. The sora, Porzana carolina, and yellow rail, Coturnicops noveboracensis, have been observed here. Integrity: The area is highly impacted, and existence of the present plants is doubtful. The pond, though artificial, is well used. Use: Educational, observational. January 1978
