Map Satellite Zmudowski Beach State Park includes about 1.5 kilometers (1 mile) of sandy beach and the low-lying dunes inland. The dunes, mostly stabilized, support a typical coastal strand community, rather dense in portions. Among the plants present are Lupinus sp., Abronia sp. and Ammophila arenaria. Waterfowl and shorebirds frequent the area. Integrity: The park has day-use facilities. Some off-road-vehicle damage is evident in the dunes, which in most portions are in relatively good condition . Use: Research, educational, observational, present. January 1978
