Map Satellite Approximately 1.5 kilometers (1 mile) west of Aetna Springs is the most "interior" grove of redwood, Sequoia sempervirens. Although it is several kilometers closer to the ocean than the grove in Sarco Creek, it is on an unnamed creek that lies in the Sacramento River drainage. It is one of the few (see Cleary Reserve) redwood groves in the Sacramento drainage.
Integrity: There is a dirt road to the area but the trees are undisturbed, though there was some logging.
