Redwood Creek Drainage

Map     Satellite

In the lower reaches of Devils Canyon near its confluence with Redwood Creek, and the canyon of the latter above and below the confluence, are representative stands of an inland redwood forest.

The forest is in the canyons and includes redwood, Sequoia sempervirens, Douglas fir, Pseudotsuga menziesii, madrone Arbutus menziesii, and bay, Umbellularia californica. On the upper slopes the forest gives way to chaparral.

Integrity: There are trails in the area, but most of the vegetation is relatively undisturbed.
