Map Satellite In the Sierra the MacNab cypress, Cupressus macnabiana, grows in scattered populations from Amador County northward, with the major concentration in groves in the foothill areas of Nevada and Yuba Counties. This grove, on the crown of a low, rocky hill with whiteleaf manzanita, Arctostaphylos viscida, as the major component of the understory, is not atypical of the Sierran groves. Integrity: A dirt road has been cut along the crown of the ridge and some of the manzanita cut back. Use: Private August 1976
