Map Satellite Within this area is one of the few occurrences of limestones in Orange County. Some 15 limestone bodies are found here embedded in the lower part of the mid-Miocene Monterey Formation. They are highly fossiliferous, with an abundance of marine invertebrates. Calcareous sandstones are visible in the freeway cut. The entire area is grassland, with a high proportion of exotics. Integrity: Geologically, the freeway cuts have exposed some of the limestones. The grassland is highly disturbed. Use: Private November 1980
