Map Satellite In this area the Oligocene or lower Miocene non-marine sandstones, conglomerates and siltstones of the Sespe formation have weathered to create a badlands. These badlands have been formed by water erosion and include numerous potholes and erosional spires. The sandstones are of various colors, buff and reddish predominating. Though primarily barren, there is a scattering of coastal sage scrub in the area. Integrity: Virtually undisturbed. Use: Private March 1977
