Dorland Ranch Preserve This preserve, less than a kilometer north of the Agua Tibia Wilderness, supports a good example of the southern oak woodland, with coast live oak, Quercus agrifolia, the dominant species. There is also some chaparral intergrading with the woodland. An intermittent stream bisects the preserve and forms a small marsh. Integrity: Much of the area is relatively undisturbed. Use: Research, educational, observational. September 1977
