Camp Pendleton - Asistencia De Las Flores Marsh

MAP     Satellite

The marsh in this area was recreated to compensate for the loss of the original marsh.  It is a freshwater marsh with willows, Salix spp., cattails, Typha sp., and other plants.  There is some open water and, near the ocean, a small salt marsh.

The marsh is frequented by waterfowl and is well used during the migratory season.

Integrity:  The marsh was recreated within the past few years and probably eventually will regain much of its former diversity.

Use;  Restricted.
