Wood Valley Nolina Site
Map SatelliteThis area contains one of the several known populations of the rare San Diego County endemic, Nolina interrata. (See Dehesa Nolina Site). This population occurs on a small peak, primarily on the south-facing slope. It handily survived a 1970 fire and appears to be in excellent condition.
The surrounding vegetation is a mixed chaparral with chamise, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Yucca whipplei, Rhus ovata, and Arctostaphylos glauca.
