Pigs Lake Area

Pigs Lake is a small area in the Mokelumne River flood channel in the City of Lodi.

Bordering the lake is a riparian association with cottonwood, Populus fremontii, white alder, Alnus rhombifolia, willow, Salix sp., elderberry, Sambucus mexicana, wild grape, Vitis californica, Dutchman's pipe, Aristolochia californica, horsetail, Equisetum sp., and, on the slightly higher ground, valley oak, Quercus lobata.

Animals are relatively abundant.

Integrity: The area is maintained as a Wilderness Area.
