Inwood Manzanita
Map SatelliteSome of the biggest specimens in the State of the Arctostaphylos manzanita are found here on a steep west-facing slope, intermixed with ponderosa pine, Pinus ponderosa, and some incense cedar, Calocedrus decurrens. The manzanita may reach 9 meters (30 feet) or more, and some have a diameter above the base of 60 centimeters (2 feet) plus.
Integrity: The steep slope has served to protect the vegetation, which is virtually undisturbed.
