Indian Creek Brewer Spruce Stand

Map     Satellite

On the eastern slopes of Little Grayback mountain there is a mixed evergreen forest with white fir, Abies concolor, and weeping spruce, Picea breweriana, in the overstory. Deer oak, Quercus sadleriana, and huckleberry oak, Quercus vaccinifolia, are the dominants in the understory. While the spruce predominates in much of the area, this stand is particularly large, with many specimen trees present.

Animal life is abundant and typical of the region.

Integrity: This area has been established as a preserve for scientific and educational use by the Happy Camp District, Klamath National Forest.
