Camassia Meadow

Map     Satellite

This is a moist meadow verging on a marsh, with a variety and abundance of plants. Among the more common species are Camassia quamash, Ranunculus californicus, Oenanthe sarmentosa, Limnanthes douglasii, Juncus sp. and Carex spp. The rare Alopecurus aequalis var. sonomensis occurs here as may the Fritillaria liliacea.

In the southerly portion, the slope increases and more xeric conditions prevail, with grassland dominant.

An intermittent stream traverses the area.

Integrity: Cattle graze the land but the vegetation appears relatively undisturbed.

Use: Private
