Little Geysers

Within this area, which lies approximately 6 kilometers (4 miles) up the Big Sulphur Creek drainage from The Geysers, are mudpots and hot springs.

Vegetation consists primarily of Sargent cypress, Cupressus sargentii, and chaparral with chamise, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Arctostaphylos spp. and Ceanothus spp.

In the waters of the springs, various thermophilic algae, fungi and bacteria are found. The rare grass Panicum acuminatum var. acuminatum occurs here.

Animal life in the surrounding area is typical of the region.

Integrity: There are roads in the area.
