Long Meadow Grove
Map SatelliteAlso known as the Dry Meadow Grove, these sequoias, Sequoiadendron giganteum, are growing in the Kern River drainage. This grove is the best example of one with a substantial number of trees in which the younger-age classes are abundant.
Red fir, Abies magnifica, is an important member of the community here. A rare plant, Angelica callii, occurs in the vicinity.
