Oregon House Cypress Stand
Map SatelliteIn this area there is a good stand of MacNab cypress, Cupressus macnabiana, near the southern limit of its main range in the Sierra.
Growing in association with the cypress are white-leaf manzanita, Arctostaphylos viscida, Lemmon ceanothus, Ceanothus lemmonii, California barberry, Berberis aquifolium var. dictyota, yerba santa, Eriodictyon californicum, interior live oak, Quercus wislizenii, toyon, Heteromeles arbutifolia, and creeping sage, Salvia sonomensis.
The soil in this area is derived from gabbro.
Integrity: A portion of the area has been plotted for lot development.
