Perennial, generally shrubby, 16–39" (4–10 dm).
This rounded, bushy, much-branched, green-stemmed plant is densely covered with fragrant flowers in the spring.
Flowers white.
Blooming March–May.
Sandy washes, barren knolls, gravelly soils, rocky slopes, ridges.
Elevation < 5250' (1600 m).
Great Basin Province (east of Sierra Nevada), Desert Province.
