Leaves 2–11" (4–27 cm).
Flowers generally ± two-toned, inner surface generally pale orange to red on ¼ to ¾ of petal, lighter near base, with maroon spots.
Blooming May–July.
Moist places, streambanks, along coast.
Elevation < 6600' (2000 m).
