Plant ± hairy, with strong odor.
Flowers almost white to dark magenta with darker central marks on lobes, throat generally whitish with dark spots.
Blooming May–August.
Bare or disturbed areas, often serpentine or granitic crevices or soils.
Elevation 650–6550' (200–2000 m).
Northwestern California, Cascade Ranges, Sierra Nevada.
